'Black Swan’ star Mila Kunis celebrates the film’s anniversary: Talks about the challenges faced on set and more - Deets inside!

In light of the 15th anniversary of the iconic film ‘Black Swan’, iconic actress Mila Kunis opened up about her experience while preparing for the film. She revealed all the challenges that she, as well as her fellow co-stars, had to face on the sets of the film.

Mila Kunis shares how there wasn’t much eating while prepping for ‘Black Swan’

‘Black Swan’ has been revered as one of the most iconic films. Starring Natalie Portman in the lead, with names like Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder, Barbara Hershey, and many more, alongside Mila Kunis, presented a beautiful and eccentric tale. In an interview with Vogue, Kunis finally broke down her character on the screen while also sharing how she prepped for the camera.

She revealed, "My prep was a lot of dancing and very little eating — which I know you’re not supposed to say, but it’s the truth. I drank a lot of broth and danced for 12 hours a day”. Over that, she also added that the continuous practice and shooting resulted in many injuries. She talked about how being picked up over and over again for one specific scene caused her to have bruises all over her rib cage.

Not only that, she even managed to dislocate her shoulder on the set as well.

She also shared that one of the major challenges that the film faced was funding, and while the training was only meant to be three months long before the production began, due to financial issues, it got extended for up to 6 months. "It sucked for Darren (the director of the film), but Nat and I were so happy because we had three extra months to dance”.While talking about the success that the film had, Kunis shared that it was an “exhilarating experience”, and although at the time she was unable to fully catch the gist of the film, she is grateful to have played the role of Lily on the big screen.
