Blinkit Ambulance Booking Option Now On App, Promises 10-Minute Arrival: How To Book, Price, Waiting Charges

Many users are now discovering that Blinkit allows you to book an ambulance right from the app in Gurugram.

Whenever there is a medical emergency, waiting for an ambulance can feel endless. Sometimes, even after calling repeatedly, help takes too long to arrive, especially at night or during traffic. But now, Blinkit, the instant delivery app, has made that wait shorter.

The company has introduced a new service that lets users book an ambulance through the app, promising that it can reach within just 10 minutes.

How To Book An Ambulance On Blinkit

A user on X (formerly Twitter) explained that the new feature is easy to use. “Since many people are unaware and asking in the comments about cost and how to book: Cost: It’s free for now but please use it responsibly. How to book: Open the Blinkit app and tap on the Ambulance option in the bottom-right corner. It usually arrives within 10 minutes," he wrote.

He added, “Imagine having a medical emergency late at night and the ambulance arriving within 10 minutes. One of the best things Blinkit has done." This service is currently available only in Gurugram.

Blinkit’s 10-Minute Ambulance Promise

Earlier this year, Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced that the company had offered an “ambulance in 10 minutes" to help improve emergency medical response in cities. He said that in the first phase, five ambulances would operate in Gurugram starting in January.

Each vehicle is equipped with life-saving tools like oxygen cylinders, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), stretchers, monitors, suction machines, and essential emergency medicines.

Dhindsa also mentioned that every ambulance would have a paramedic, an assistant, and a trained driver to ensure quick and efficient service.

“We are carefully scaling this service up, as it is both important and new to us. Our aim is to expand to all major cities over the next two years," he mentioned.

Step-by-Step: Booking Through the App

To use the service, users can open the Blinkit app and find the ambulance icon next to the “Print" option.

After tapping it, they can enter their location and confirm the booking, similar to how they order groceries.

Once booked, the app shows the ambulance details and available medical support for the patient.

Is There A Waiting Charge For Blinkit Ambulance 

Well, it’s not clear. But it seems that the waiting charges factor will depend on a case-by-case basis.
