For decades, Harlan quietly shaped the direction of the Packers, guiding the team through one of its most transformative eras.Harlan started working for the Packers in 1971 and was named president and CEO in 1989. His leadership helped bring back the competitive reputation of Green Bay when the historic franchise was having trouble finding its identity. Under his watch, the Packers enjoyed 13 consecutive seasons of .500 or better between 1992 and 2004 and captured Super Bowl XXXI.

That move triggered a chain reaction that reshaped the franchise. Wolf brought in head coach Mike Holmgren, traded for quarterback Brett Favre, and later signed defensive icon Reggie White.Favre later reflected on the role Harlan played in his career and the culture he built in Green Bay."Bob Harlan's leadership of the Green Bay Packers was outstanding," Favre said of Harlan in a statement.
