In a tragic turn of events, the lifeless body of a 13-year-old, Bhola Kumar, was found bearing injuries just outside his residence in Barah village, Patna. Initially reported missing on Saturday evening, Bhola's father suspects illicit activity, with theories of strangulation surfacing.
Patna: Body of a 13-year-old boy was found under suspicious circumstances outside his house in Barah village under Ranitalab police station area of Paliganj subdivision in Patna district on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Bhola Kumar, son of Rajkumar Yadav.According to the boy’s father, Bhola was missing from home on Saturday evening. After a frantic search, when the family returned home around 4am, they found his body with injury marks outside the house. “I suspect he was strangled and someone threw his body outside the house and fled,” the father alleged.Senior police officials, including Paliganj DSP-II Pankaj Sharma, along with local police, promptly reached the spot.
A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was also called to assist in the investigation.SHO-cum-trainee DSP Vinay Ranjan said, “Every aspect is being thoroughly investigated to ascertain the exact cause of death. The body has been sent to a govt hospital for the postmortem. The reason of the death will be known after the autopsy report comes. We are also questioning the child’s family members.”Locals claimed Bhola was a drug addict and his death could be linked to addiction. However, the family has not commented on these allegations.
