Times News NetworkChandigarh: The Tricity is set to witness a three‑day spell of rain and thunderstorms later this week, according to the latest weather department forecast.While the next two days are expected to remain partly cloudy, the weather department has predicted thunderstorms and light rain beginning June 18.Maximum temperature in Chandigarh is likely to stay between 36 degrees Celsius and 39 degrees Celsius over the next five days, moderated by increased cloud cover and rainfall activity. Minimum temperature is expected to range between 24 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius during the forecast period.Meteorologists said the anticipated rain and thunderstorm activity could bring relief from the prevailing heat, though humidity levels may remain high.Changing weather pattern is expected to improve outdoor conditions and reduce daytime discomfort across the Tricity region.On Monday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal, while the minimum was 24.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.
