The Florida Panthers are starting to find their rhythm under coach Paul Maurice, led by veteran forward Brad Marchand. On Monday night, Marchand extended his goal streak to five games, helping Florida secure a hard-fought 3–2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights.
The victory capped a 2–2–0 road trip and showed the Panthers’ growing confidence on both ends of the ice.Marchand’s goal, a slick backhand in the second period, also stretched his point streak to eight games. Florida created several scoring chances early on, with Marchand actively driving play and creating opportunities for his teammates. His vision and quick decisions on the ice were on full display, helping the team maintain momentum through both periods.
After the win, coach Paul Maurice praised Marchand, saying, “You know he’s a good player when you coach against him, but when you see him up close, it’s just exceptional,” pointing to the winger’s skill and impact on the team.
Jesper Boqvist gave Florida an early lead with a first-period goal, and Sam Reinhart added a power-play goal early in the third that ended up being the game-winner. Vegas pushed hard late in the game, but goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 shots to earn his 437th career win, tying NHL legend Jacques Plante for ninth all-time.
