With Yeh Mera Dil Yaar Ka Diwana playing in the background alongside other Hindi songs, designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil made their womenswear global debut at Moscow Fashion Week recently.Drawing inspiration from the sensuality of the 1930s - an era when unapologetic women became icons of both romance and resistance - the all-women couture showcase Armouré presented silhouettes that moved fluidly between sculptural architecture and draped ease.

The collection drew inspiration from the sensuality of the 1930s
“Moscow represents a cultural crossroads, steeped in imperial legacy yet brimming with a contemporary appetite for couture. Our debut here is more than a showcase; it is a statement of intent. Through this collection, we explore the paradox of the modern woman: sensual yet armored, intimate yet resistant. This stage allows us to narrate that story to the world. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has also played a pivotal role in shaping this cultural bridge between India and Russia, with Chairman Sunil Sethi championing the presence of Indian fashion and craftsmanship on a global stage,” said couturiers Shantanu & Nikhil.

Alongside the runway showcases, the BRICS+ Fashion Summit brought together leaders, experts, and institutions from over 65 countries to address sustainability, innovation, and the future of global fashion.
