Brinda Karat Highlights Unity in INDIA Bloc Amidst NDA Division in Bihar

Ranchi: Veteran CPM leader Brinda Karat on Wednesday said while INDIA bloc is steady and united, NDA partners in Bihar are fighting within themselves over the chief minister's face.

She stressed that the RJD-led alliance would form the govt in Bihar this time.Brinda Karat said, “INDIA bloc has announced its CM face in Bihar. But NDA silent on it. BJP claims that the election is fought under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, but they are not openly declaring that Nitishji is the CM face. NDA will get divided if they announce the CM’s face.”Addressing a rally in Bihar on Wednesday, Union home minister Amit Shah reiterated that neither there is vacancy in Delhi (for PM seat) or in Bihar (for CM’s seat) indicating that both Modi and Nitish are here to stay.Asked about Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party, she said that it is not even in the race. The CPM leader also took a dig at LJP(R) chief Chirag Paswan. “He calls Modi his leader, but not Nitish Kumar... it is because NDA constituents aren’t united,” she said, adding that the fight in Bihar is between the INDIA bloc and the NDA.Hitting out at the Election Commission’s SIR, she said, “SIR should not become a tool for determining citizenship in any way.

CPM strongly condemns the EC’s decision to extend this process to 12 states when there were several flaws in the exercise done in Bihar.”Referring to the Chaibasa incident, she said, “This is an extremely sad case of serious negligence, for which state health department and govt at large should take accountability. The incident exposes flaws in the entire health system.”
