Broad daylight attack: Man stabbed outside house in Madhya Pradesh; probe underway

MHOW: A man was stabbed outside his house in the Naugaon area of Dhar town, Madhya Pradesh, police said on Sunday.According to Naugaon police, the victim, Virendra Bhati, who lives near Rajput Garden, sustained serious injuries after being attacked by two unidentified assailants.The victim told the police that three men came to his house and asked him about an address. One of them stood guard at the gate while another pulled out a knife and assaulted Virendra with it. As a result, Virendra sustained severe injuries to his hand while defending himself. He fell to the ground due to the attack, which saved him from being hit in the abdomen.The entire sequence of events was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby.

The footage clearly shows the assailant pulling out a knife and stabbing repeatedly before fleeing the spot with his accomplice. In the footage, passersby are seen rushing the injured Virendra to Dhar District Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.Meanwhile, Naugaon police reached the hospital, recorded the victim’s statement, and registered a case against the unidentified attackers. The police are now scanning the CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the assailants.
