Tenneeru Satyanarayana, father of senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former Minister T. Harish Rao and brother-in-law of BRS founder-president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, passed away after a brief illness at his son’s residence here on Tuesday.
Satyanarayana, a native of Thotapalli village in Karimnagar district was a government employee and was married to one of the elder sisters, Laxmi Bai, of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao. Upon learning about Mr. Harish Rao’s loss, party leaders and others went to his residence at Kokapet and consoled him.
Working president of BRS K.T. Rama Rao was among those who went to Mr. Harish Rao’s residence first. He cancelled the party’s campaign for Jubilee Hills byelection on Tuesday. Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, his wife Shobha, and others too paid their homage. Mr. Rao recollected his association with his brother-in-law in his condolence message.
