In her preview of her sit-down with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America on Tuesday, August 26, Emma said her family gets to witness the flashes of the actor’s delightful personality. “It's his laugh, right? He has such a hearty laugh," Emma said, before adding, “And sometimes you'll see that twinkle in his eye, or that smirk. I just get transported."Furthermore, Emma, who was in tears, claimed that it’s hard to see as the moments come and go.

During the conversation, the 79-year-old recalled that Bruce Willis had changed ahead of his diagnosis, citing that for someone talkative, he became silent. Emma said that the ‘Pulp Fiction’ actor felt cold, and not like Bruce, who was warm and affectionate. “To go in the complete opposite of that was alarming and scary,” she said, according to People.

The tragic realisation of FTD

Recalling the reaction of Bruce Willis, the model said that he never connected the dots about what was happening to him.

Meanwhile, Emma herself was panicked as the health deteriorated quickly, unable to understand what was happening to him after a given diagnosis she could not even pronounce. “I just remember hearing it and just not hearing anything else. It was like I was free-falling," she said.Despite the heartwrenching challenges, the 47-year-old is still grateful that her husband is around. She discoursed that FTD can be diagnosed as bipolar disorder, midlife crisis, or depression, adding that many doctors don’t know about the condition at all.
