Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) have collected a whopping ₹21 crore between August 23 and 29, settling 7.43 lakh cases during a 50% concession offer announced by the Karnataka government, according to the data shared by the BTP.

The Karnataka government has announced a 50% concession on fines for all pending traffic e-challan cases, bringing major relief to vehicle owners across the State. The order, issued on August 21, came into effect on August 23.

The concession scheme, implemented through the police department, was aimed at encouraging motorists to clear long-pending challans. Officials said the response has been overwhelming, with thousands of people making use of the rebate window to avoid further penalties.
