A butterfly and moth survey is set to be conducted at the Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary in Mulugu, Telangana, from November 6 to 9. The sanctuary is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including various species of butterflies and moths.
The survey, which is hosted by Orugallu WildLife Society (OWLS) in collaboration with WWF-India, Butterfly Conservation Society, and Moth Society of Telangana, will be conducted over four days, with participants assembling at the DFO Office in Mulugu on November 6, said a representative of OWLS.
The survey will be carried out in teams, accompanied by forest guards. It is open to individuals aged 18 years and above who are fit to walk long hours and are eager to explore and learn. First preference will be given to experienced surveyors, with 10% of slots reserved for them. The participation fee is ₹2,000, and interested individuals can apply by filling out a form on or before October 15.
