Kerala Administrative Tribunal (KAT) chairperson C.K. Abdul Rehim is set to demit office on September 3.
A full court reference recently held was attended by Additional Advocate General Asok M. Cherian; Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association president Pallichal S.K. Pramod; the presidents of the KAT Advocates’ Association Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam units, M. Fathahudeen and Shameena Salahudeen; and senior Judicial Member P.V. Asha, a press note stated.
Appointed as KAT chairperson on August 31, 2021, Mr. Rehim oversaw the disposal of over 13000 cases during his tenure, including nearly 5700 cases which were decided by the Bench headed by him. Reforms including electronic filing of cases, and the hybrid system of hearings were introduced in KAT during the period.
