Gavin Newsom's personal life

Born on October 10, 1967, Gavin Newsom is a politician and businessman who has been serving as the 40th governor of California since 2019. Brought up in San Francisco, Newsom is a fourth-generation San Franciscan born to Tessa Thomas and William Alfred Newsom III. He has had an active political life, having served as the mayor of San Francisco, lieutenant governor of California and governor of California.In terms of education he attended Santa Clara University on a partial baseball scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in political science.

In terms of his personal life, Newsom married legal commentator and former first lady of San Francisco, Kimberly Guilfoyle in 2001 but they filed for a divorce in 2005.Guilfoyle, went on to become senior advisor to President Donald Trump, whom Newsom has often criticised and even got engaged to Trump's eldest child Donald Trump Jr. in 2020. The pair called it off later in 2024.After his divorce from Guilfoyle, Newsom crossed paths with his actress and producer Jennifer Siebel in 2006 on a blind date set up by a mutual friend.

While the couple braved public controversy early on in their relationship, they tied the knot in July 2008.Since then, Jennifer and Gavin have expanded the family with four children two daughters Montana and Brooklynn and sons Hunter and Dutch.After Newsom was sworn in as the governor of California, Jennifer has played an active role as the first partner of California, advocating for issues such as women, children, families and gender equality.
