With the 2025 NBA season gradually inching towards training camp, popular NBA teams are busy making the much needed move to improvise their roster. Recently, Cam Thomas signed a $6 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets for upcoming NBA season.
According to the ESPN’s popular NBA insider, Thomas ended his prolonged free agency and returned to the clubhouse with the Nets offer.
The 23-year-old would be representing the Nets for upcoming 2026-27 NBA season.
Cam Thomas signs a $6 million deal with Brooklyn Nets for upcoming NBA season
Cam Thomas brought his free agency to a halt after signing a $6 million deal with Brooklyn Nets. Based on ESPN’s NBA analyst Shams Charania’s latest update, Cam Thomas was roped by the Brooklyn Nets for the upcoming NBA season.
Reportedly, Thomas is all set to hit an unrestricted free agency till the next summer and would not be subjected to any trade clause. According to the previous offer made by the Brooklyn Nets, Thomas was offered a $30 million contract for two years with a team option in the second year of the deal. Reportedly, he was offered around $9.5 million alongwith incentives upto $11 million and no-trade clause. The Nets star went ahead with less money and retained his no-trade clause.
Cam Thomas was introduced to teh world of NBA with Brooklyn Nets back in 2021. He was the overall 27th pick in the 2021 NBA draft. With hard work and dedication towards the game, he went rose to fame within a very short span of time. Thomas gradually became a fan favorite and even went on to score more than 40 scors in three games back to back in February 2023. His last two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets has been terrific with an average 22.9 points within 91 appearances. However, by opting for a one-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets, Cam Thomas has kept for his trade options open for the upcoming NBA season.
