ClearedPSG CAS renews MoU with FICCI FLOThe centre of innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship (CII&E) at PSG College of Arts and Science (PSG CAS) renewed its memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FICCI FLO Coimbatore (FICCI Ladies’ Organisation) on May 21.

The programme aims to support entrepreneurship development, innovation, and business growth. Dr M Jayanthi, principal; and Parnika Gupta, chairperson, FICCI FLO, signed and exchanged the renewed MoU. PSGCAS and FICCI have organised women entrepreneurship development programmes, hackathons, skill development workshops, and entrepreneurship exhibitions since 2012.Over 500 students from Vellalar Educational Institutions get job offers through placement drive held by VITMore than 500 students from Vellalar Educational Institutions received job offer letters with a salary range of Rs.

3 to Rs.8 lakh at a placement drive recently held by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in Erode. As many as 50 leading companies, including TCS, Deloitte, Cognizant, Sutherland, Zoho, Sakthi Masala, Milky Mist, and City Union Bank, participated in the campus recruitment drive. The event was graced by Merlin Smile, head, HR development and India campus head, Sutherland.Over 700 students graduate from Nandha Engineering CollegeNandha Engineering College held its 21st graduation ceremony alongside its silver jubilee celebrations.

A total of 725 students, including 621 undergraduate and 104 postgraduate engineering students, received their degrees. The event was presided over by V Shanmugan, Chairman, Sri Nandha Educational Trust. Gokulkannan Narasimman, senior manager, ServiceNow, who was the chief guest addressed the graduates.

He encouraged them to continuously upgrade their knowledge, make use of modern technology, and contribute meaningfully to society.SAHS organises Finishing School Programme for third-year studentsThe Placement Cell of the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) organised a three-day Finishing School Program (FSP) for third-year students from May 18 to 20. The programme included training on ATS-friendly resumes, LinkedIn profile development, effective communication, and mock interviews with feedback sessions, to help students enhance their professional skills and communication abilities.

Around 400 students participated in the training which was held in collaboration with Confido Training and Events Pvt.

Ltd.SRIT launches technology-integrated basketball scoreboard systemSri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology (SRIT), Coimbatore, successfully launched POINTIQ, a technology-integrated basketball scoreboard system, on May 18. Developed through SRIT’s innovation hub HIVE in collaboration with industry partners, POINTIQ provides real-time analytics and enhances spectator experience. The launch was graced by S Narendran, joint managing trustee, S N R Sons Charitable Trust; Dr J David Rathnaraj, Principal, and M Deebala, SRIT Alumnus.
