Car driver booked for blackmailing minor girl using nude photos

The Patamata police booked a car driver for allegedly blackmailing a minor girl with her nude photos. According to the complainant, the girl’s family hired a car to go on a picnic a few days ago. The driver, Raju, took the victim’s phone number and began talking and chatting with her. Raju then obtained nude photos of the girl and then began blackmailing her and her family for money. Though the girl’s family paid him, he again demanded money later. Subsequently, the girl’s family approached the police. “We booked the accused under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and other sections. A hunt has been launched for him,” said Patamata Circle Inspector V. Pavan Kishore on Saturday.
