An FIR has been registered at a Noida police station against a Karnataka cadre IPS officer, following serious allegations made by his wife.

The FIR names Shivanshu Rajput, a 2019 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. The complaint, spanning 41 pages, was filed by his wife Dr Kriti Singh.

In her complaint, Kriti has accused Rajput and several members of his family of dowry harassment and domestic violence. In addition to the IPS officer, the complaint names his mother, father, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and several of his friends, seven people in total.

Dr Singh has alleged that despite their love marriage, she faced continuous physical and mental harassment. She claims that nearly two crore rupees were spent on their wedding, which took place at a five-star hotel.

The FIR also accuses Rajput of maintaining illicit relationships with multiple women during the marriage, further aggravating the complaint.

Police investigation is currently underway.
