Police rushed to the spot and rescued the two victims from inside the damaged vehicle after a truck rammed it from behind and dragged it for 500 metres.

A truck collided with a vehicle in Odisha's Bhubaneswar.
A terrifying road accident took place in Bhubaneswar, where a truck rammed into a car and dragged it for nearly 500 metres on the Palasuni Bridge in the capital city of Odisha, sparking panic in the area.
A chilling video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the truck dragging the car on the main road. The car occupants, a man and his niece, managed to miraculously escape the accident with minor injuries.
The mishap occurred at around midnight on the Gangua Canal Bridge under the jurisdiction of Mancheswar Police Station. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident, but he was intercepted by police near Pahala in Bhubaneswar.
Personnel from Mancheswar Police Station rushed to the spot and rescued the two victims from inside the damaged vehicle. The man, identified as Subrata, was reportedly returning home from a hospital with his niece in a car when the truck hit their vehicle from behind.
The truck driver, identified as Jagamohan Bhukta, has been taken into custody. During questioning, the driver reportedly told police that he did not stop after the accident and continued driving because he feared being attacked by angry bystanders. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
