In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Ambassador Reuven Azar, Israel’s envoy to India, discussed the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the release of hostages, and the future of Gaza’s reconstruction. The conversation also highlighted India’s growing role in the region, including defence cooperation and manpower opportunities.

On the ceasefire, Ambassador Azar stated, "Ceasefire is holding. There have been some incidents because of attempts of infiltration to areas that are under Israeli control under the agreement, and also there's been a lot of shooting because Hamas is actually executing the rivals inside areas in which they are controlling. We've heard about more than 60 people that have been killed. But the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel is holding."

The interview also explored the challenges of ensuring Hamas’ disarmament, the complexities of rebuilding Gaza, and the prospects for peace, with a focus on India’s strategic partnership with Israel in defence and economic sectors.
