Central Railway to operate 230 special trains during Dasara and Deepavali festival season

Central Railway will run 230 special trains via the Solapur Division to cater to the festive rush of passengers during the upcoming Dasara and Deepavali season.

A media note released by the Solapur Division of Central Railway said that the services will connect Latur, Hadapsar, Mumbai, Daund and Kalaburagi with additional trips and special arrangements to ensure convenience for travellers.

Between Latur and Hadapsar, 74 special services will be operated. Train No 01429 will leave Latur at 9.30 a.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from September 26 to November 28, reaching Hadapsar at 3.30 p.m. the same day.

The return train (No 01430) will leave Hadapsar at 4.05 p.m. on the same day and arrive in Latur at 9.20 p.m. It will stoppages at Harangul, Murud, Dharashiv, Barsi Town, Kurduvadi, Jeur and Daund.

These trains will run with a 21-coach composition comprising AC First Class, AC-II Tier, AC-III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.

In addition, 20 weekly specials will run between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) and Latur. Train No 01007 will leave LTT Mumbai at 12.55 a.m. every Sunday from September 28 to November 30 and arrive at Latur at 1.30 p.m. the same day.

The return service, Train No 01008, will leave Latur at 4 p.m. every Sunday and reach LTT Mumbai at 4.50 a.m. the following day.

These trains, with halts at Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Kurduvadi and Dharashiv, will have 20 coaches, including AC-III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class.

For the benefit of short-distance travellers, 96 unreserved special trains will be operated between Daund and Kalaburagi five days a week.

Train No 01421 will leave Daund at 5 a.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from September 26 to December 1 and arrive at Kalaburagi at 11.20 a.m.

The return service, Train No 01422, will leave Kalaburagi at 4.10 p.m. on the same day and reach Daund at 10.20 p.m.

The trains will halt at Bhigwan, Parewadi, Jeur, Kem, Kurduvadi, Madha, Mohol, Solapur, Tikekarwadi, Hotgi, Akalkot Road, Boroti, Dudhani and Ganagapur. They will run with a 12-coach composition of General Second Class and Luggage-cum-Guard’s Brake Vans.

Moreover, 40 unreserved bi-weekly specials will also be introduced between Daund and Kalaburagi.

Train No 01425 will leave Daund at 5 a.m. every Thursday and Sunday from September 25 to November 30 and arrive at Kalaburagi at 11.20 a.m., while Train No 01426 will leave Kalaburagi at 8.30 p.m. on the same day and reach Daund at 2.30 a.m. the following morning.

These services will run with the same halts and coach composition as the five-day-a-week specials.

Reservations for the special trains running on special fare are already open at all computerized reservation centers and on the IRCTC website, www.irctc.co.in.

Bookings for unreserved coaches can be made at station booking counters and through the UTS app. Passengers are advised to travel with valid tickets to avoid inconvenience.
