The Central University of Rajasthan has broken into the top 100 universities in the country in the latest rankings given by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The university has secured 89th position in the NIRF-2025 rankings announced by the Union Ministry of Education on September 4.
CUoR Vice-Chancellor Anand Bhalerao said in Jaipur on Monday (September 8, 2025) that the university had joined the distinguished league of top higher education institutions as a result of its “quality-based education, research, and innovation”.
The NIRF ranking would mark a new chapter of growth, opportunities, and aspirations for the university, Prof. Bhalerao said. “For any university, to receive NAAC A++ accreditation, be recognised as a category-1 university by the University Grants Commission, and enter the top 100 universities is a big achievement,” he said.
The CUoR faculty and scholars were getting published in reputed journals and contributing to major projects, while its incubation and innovation centres were nurturing entrepreneurship, Prof. Bhalerao said. He said the university had built a “diverse academic ecosystem” with a wide range of schools across sciences, engineering, humanities, architecture, commerce, and management.
The CUoR, with its campus built at Bandar Sindri, near Kishangarh in Ajmer district, was established in 2009. (EOM)
