The Centre for Dalit Studies (CDS), Hyderabad, is organising a two-day Constitution Conclave on January 25 and 26 at its campus in Rehmat Nagar, Hyderabad, to commemorate 75 years of the Indian Constitution.
The theme of the conclave is The Indian Constitution at 75: A Journey of Liberation and Social Justice for Marginalised Communities.
Former Chief Secretary of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Kaki Madhava Rao, will preside over the inaugural session. Professor Emeritus at the Institute for Development and Communication, Chandigarh, Ronki Ram, will deliver the inaugural address, while Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana, Raja Sekhar Vundru, will present the keynote address.
Commissioner of Police, Future City, Hyderabad, G. Sudheer Babu, former Chairman of TSCHE, Prof. R. Limbadri, and a renowned academician and activist Prof. Haragopal, will be guests, according to Chairperson of the Centre for Dalit Studies Mallepalli Laxmaiah.
The two-day Constitution Conclave will feature four thematic panel discussions, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the Foundations of Constitutional Justice; Social Justice and the Directive Principles of State Policy; Dalit Justice, Atrocities, and Constitutional Safeguards; and Gender Justice and Women.
