The government of Andhra Pradesh has welcomed the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) approval of capital support under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) for Syrma SGS’s multi-layer PCB manufacturing project at Naidupeta in Tirupati district.

The sanction marks a major milestone in advancing India’s largest PCB facility and strengthening the country’s electronic components ecosystem.

In a press release on Tuesday (October 28), expressing gratitude to the Centre, Minister for Information Technology Nara Lokesh said that on behalf of the government of Andhra Pradesh, heartfelt thanks are extended to the Union government and MeitY for swiftly sanctioning capital support to Syrma under ECMS.

This timely approval, combined with the State’s policy framework, gives Syrma a world-class launchpad in Naidupeta to build India’s largest PCB and CCL ecosystem, deepen domestic value addition, and create high-quality jobs. Andhra Pradesh, he said, is committed to partnering closely with the Centre and industry to make India a global hub for advanced electronics components.

With the Central subsidy now cleared, Syrma SGS’s ₹765 crore ECMS-backed project moves into execution, complementing the ₹856 crore incentive package earlier approved by the State government. The facility will manufacture multi-layer and HDI/flex printed circuit boards (PCBs) and integrate upstream materials like copper clad laminates (CCLs), catering to high-growth sectors such as automotive, renewable energy, telecom, and defence.

In September, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet sanctioned a comprehensive support package that includes 12.56 acres of land at a 75% subsidised cost in the Naidupeta industrial area — strategically positioned near Chennai’s electronics hub to leverage logistics and supplier networks. The initiative falls under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy (4.0) 2025–30, which provides capital subsidies, power support, and tax-linked enablers to attract large-scale investments.

Under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy (4.0) 2025–30, Andhra Pradesh is extending early-bird capital subsidies, matching ECMS disbursements, electricity duty exemption, tax reimbursements, and recruitment assistance to ensure accelerated commissioning.

The project is poised to position Andhra Pradesh as a leading destination for high-value electronics manufacturing and to significantly advance India’s Make in India ambitions in the strategic components sector, the release said.
