Pranabes Chandra’s film Char Diker Golpo was recently screened at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in the presence of the cast and crew. Structured around a train journey from Howrah to North Bengal, the film follows two co-passengers—played by Samadarshi Dutta and Indrashis Acharya—who begin exchanging stories.

Four narratives emerge: an artist facing failure, an idol-maker whose success remains unseen, a man compromising with injustice for survival, and another who must sacrifice personal desires for a greater duty. "I hopes audiences will connect with its honesty and simplicity of the film," said the director.
