Cheating, forgery cases against actor-producer: HC seeks detailed report

Citing that a report filed by the investigating officer probing a cheating and forgery cases registered against actor-producer Soubin Shahir and producer Shawn Antony, partners of Parava Films, as ‘‘very vague and sans details,’’ the Kerala High Court has directed the public prosecutor to file a detailed report.

The Maradu police had registered a case against them in connection with the alleged denial of the principal amount and profit share to an investor of the Malayalam blockbuster movie Manjummel Boys. The High Court had earlier this year dismissed their petitions that sought to quash the cases registered against them in April 2024.
