Cheluvarayaswamy hands over compensation to mother of stampede victim

Minister in charge of Mandya district N. Cheluvarayaswamy visited the house of Poornachandra from Rayasamudra in K.R. Pet taluk who died in the recent stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru and handed over a cheque of ₹25 lakh to the mother of the deceased.

He was accompanied by MLA for K.R. Pet H.T. Manju and Deputy Commissioner Kumar.

The 26-year-old Poornachandra was among the eleven persons who died in the stampede on June 4 during the function, organised to felicitate Royal Challengers of Bengaluru after their maiden victory in the IPL 2025.
