A new weekly Special Express train between Cherlapally in Telangana to Tirupati passing through Nandyal Railway Station would commence from September 9, Nandyal Member of Parliament Byreddy Shabari has said. The train will run till November 25.
In a statement issued here on Sunday (August 31), the MP said the South Central Railways has considered her request to run a train to clear extra rush of passengers and will run the train from September 9 to November 25. The train no 07013 will start at Cherlapally on Tuesdays at 9.10 p.m. and will reach Nandyal on the next day at 5.30 a.m. with stoppages at Nalgonda, Piduguralla, Markapuram, and Giddalur. The train will depart from Nandyal at 5.35 a.m. to go to Tirupati via Koilkuntla.
In the return direction, train 07014 will start at Tirupati at 4.40 p.m. on Wednesday, reach Nandyal at 10.25 p.m. the same day and reach Cherlapally on Thursday 8 a.m. The train will make a total of 12 trips in the three months, Ms Shabari said.
Ms. Shabari thanked the SCR officials for running the special train and urged the people of Nandyal to utilise the service.
