Raipur: Betting big on clean mobility and logistics, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during his international tour, has invited South Korea’s ModernTech Corp. to set up an advanced EV-charging manufacturing unit in the state on Friday.
CM Sai also held talks with UNECORAIL on railway maintenance technology transfer and local manufacturing during his South Korea visit. Framing the outreach as a fast-track route to green growth under the state’s industrial policy 2024–30, Sai said the proposals align with Chhattisgarh’s push to cut carbon intensity, expand sustainable transport and strengthen its rail backbone. “Setting up an EV charging manufacturing unit in state will boost clean energy targets and also provide citizens with better and modern transport infrastructure,” he said. The state is pitching plug-and-play infrastructure, streamlined clearances and single-window support to prospective investors, CM Sai said, adding “Processes have been simplified and made transparent so that investors can implement their projects swiftly and without hurdles,” Sai added. In a separate meeting, chief minister discussed localization, technology transfer and network upkeep with UNECORAIL CEO Dong Pil Park, calling advanced rail solutions critical to the state’s industrial and logistics needs. Chief minister Sai underlined that clean energy and sustainable development remain central to policy, urging global firms to join as development partners in Chhattisgarh’s “next-stage” industrialization.
