RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh State Medical Post Graduate (PG) Counselling Committee has released the first round of seat allotment for the academic session 2025. This decision has been taken to protect the academic interests of candidates and to comply with the mandatory timelines set by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The state government has filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court against the earlier judgment in the case of Samriddhi Dubey v State of Chhattisgarh. On 18 December 2025, the Supreme Court directed the state to approach the Chhattisgarh high court in Bilaspur for clarification regarding the judgment delivered on 20 November 2025. The current admission process is also linked to the case of Prabhakar Chandravanshi v State of Chhattisgarh, which is pending before the Chhattisgarh HC.
The next hearing for this matter is scheduled for March, 2026. The state counselling committee has clarified that the ongoing counselling process and all seat allotments made under it remain subject to the final outcome of the said writ petition. Candidates and stakeholders have been advised to regularly monitor the official website for updates and notifications.
