Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is on a record-making spree as she surpasses Candace Parker and Natalie Williams to become the fastest WNBA player to score 30 career double-doubles after her last match against the New York Liberty.

Even though the team got off on the wrong foot with their losing streak this season, the only two wins that the Sky could rack up were against the Dallas Wings and the Los Angeles Sparks.

Angel Reese achieved the fastest 30 career double-doubles in 42 games despite the latest loss against the New York Liberty

Despite the disappointing run until now, forward Angel Reese couldn’t be held back by the opponents in setting new records in the WNBA. She was also the fastest player to reach 20 double-doubles, adding to her previous record of scoring 10 consecutive double-doubles.

The unstoppable force continues to rack up scores, reaching the threshold of 17 points with 11 rebounds and 3 assists in her last game against the New York Liberty.

Reese achieved the record of fastest 30 double-doubles in just 42 games. Other players right behind her on the list are the Connecticut Sun centre Tina Charles, former Las Vegas Aces player Candace Parker, former Indiana Fever player Natalie Williams and former Los Angeles Sparks player Lisa Leslie.

While Reese added another record to her list of achievements, it is also worth mentioning that she is the fastest player to score 20 double-doubles. Another interesting similarity between the two instances is that the player set her previous record during a losing match against the Phoenix Mercury. This marked her 4th straight 20 double-doubles, placing her in a position to set the record in just 27 matches. Post her recent match against the Liberty, the player stated, “I love New York.

It’s probably my favorite city to play in. This arena is legendary. It feels like bright lights—I just love being here. This environment is great. I really enjoy being here.”

With her latest record, the 2025 season average of the player stands at 9.1 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists. Up until now, the average is slightly lower than the player’s first WNBA debut season, which stood at 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
