A special report on the controversial Special Intensive Revision (S.I.R.) of electoral rolls in Bihar that led to the deletion of over 65 lakh names, sparking a debate on transparency, trust in the Election Commission, and the larger issue of an NRC. The programme, anchored by India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai, features political analyst Rajat Sethi, Swaraj India's Yogendra Yadav , and former Chief Election Commissioners Dr. S.Y. Quraishi and N. Gopalaswami. Mr. Yadav directly questioned the EC's silence, stating, 'Sir, I'm asking the Election Commission because at the beginning of SIR, the Election Commission tells me there are four major objectives, one of which is detection and deletion of illegal foreigners. The debate explores whether the exercise was a necessary purification to remove 'ghuspetiyas' or a flawed process that disenfranchised genuine citizens without due process.
