She added that the team “shook Canada to its core” and made people “fall in love with baseball again.”

Jessica’s message continued with a heartfelt note about how close everyone had become during the season. “We laughed together, we cried together, we went on a month-long rollercoaster bender together,” she said. She praised the wives and girlfriends for being “the glue that held everything together,” especially during the tough postseason moments.
