Chris Evert is one of the most famous tennis champions in the world. She won 18 Grand Slams in her career. But she has always said that being a mother is the best part of her life. She has three sons — Alex, Nicholas and Colton.
She is also now a grandmother in 2025. Her family life is very important to her. She openly talks about it in interviews and on social media.

Chris Evert has three sons with her ex-husband Andy Mill. Her eldest son is Alexander, also called Alex, born in 1991. Nicholas was born in 1994. The youngest, Colton, was born in 1996. None of them became tennis professionals.
Alex works with his mother in tennis broadcasting. Nicholas loves fishing and outdoor life.
He also co-hosts a podcast with Andy Mill called Mill House Podcast. Colton keeps his life very private and away from media.
Chris Evert as a happy and active mother
Chris Evert has often said her house was always full of noise and energy. Her boys loved dirt bikes, lacrosse, skateboards and fishing. She said they never cared about designer clothes or fashion.
They were happiest in normal T-shirts and shorts. Even when she was winning big tennis finals, she always made time for her sons.
Chris says motherhood gave her real joy beyond tennis trophies or TV fame.
Chris Evert becomes a proud grandmother
In May 2024, Nicholas and his wife welcomed a baby boy named Hayden. This made Chris a grandmother for the first time. She said becoming a grandmother feels “double happiness.”
She often shares baby Hayden’s photos on Instagram. She recently posted about his first steps and a family beach trip. In February 2025, she said watching her son become a father is one of the proudest moments of her life.
She loves this new chapter.
Chris Evert health battle and strong family support
Chris Evert was diagnosed with ovarian cancer twice, first in 2022 and again in late 2023. She went through chemotherapy and surgeries both times. In early 2024, doctors confirmed she is cancer-free. She said her three sons were her biggest strength during treatment. They called her every day and stayed close to support her. She says this experience made her more grateful for family than ever.
