Flavio Briatore denied rumors of Christian Horner joining Alpine after leaving Red Bull, saying Horner is not in F1 now despite recent speculation.

Flavio Briatore has dismissed speculation that former Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner could take charge at Alpine.
Christian Horner, who was Red Bull’s longest-serving and one of the most successful F1 bosses, left the team last month, sparking speculation about his future.
Horner was abruptly fired following the British Grand Prix last month, with no reason provided for his termination.
Red Bull announced Horner’s dismissal on July 9. Though no official reason was given, his departure followed a turbulent year in which he faced and denied allegations of misconduct made by a female Red Bull employee. He was ultimately cleared after an internal investigation, and he has not commented publicly since leaving the team.
This dismissal concluded a 20-year tenure that included eight F1 drivers’ titles and recent turmoil that affected the team both on and off the track.
Horner, 51, had been linked with a potential move to the Renault-owned team as a replacement for Oliver Oakes, who recently stepped down.
But speaking at the Dutch Grand Prix on Friday, Alpine’s executive director and de facto team principal Briatore made it clear that the Briton is not currently under consideration.
“I’m not considering in this moment anything," Briatore told reporters when asked about Horner. “Christian is not in Formula One in this moment anymore. I hope he comes back soon but, for the moment, he’s not in the picture of Alpine."
Rumors of a Power Alliance
Speculation around Horner has not been limited to Alpine. There have been persistent whispers that he could team up with Briatore and former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone to buy a stake in the French outfit.
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff weighed in on the prospect, jokingly describing the potential alliance as “the mafia reunited."
“That would be an exciting story and would create a lot of buzz around Formula One," Wolff said. “I think we need that. Formula One has always been about the best racing with exciting drivers and great personalities.
