Circle Inspector Locked in Official Residence by Wife After Alleged Infidelity in Garhwa District

Garhwa: The circle inspector (CO) of Majhioan administration in Garhwa district was locked in his official residence by his wife after he was allegedly found with another woman.The woman in question was taken to Garhwa Mahila Police Station and later handed over to her kin following an interrogation.The incident happened on Saturday early morning. Shayama Rani had locked her husband Pramod Kumar's official residence from outside after he was allegedly found there with another woman.Shayama Rani, the daughter of former Bihar MP Ramji Manjhi, arrived from Bihar’s Gaya on Saturday at around 4.30 am.

She tapped on the door of the house but received no response, then locked it from outside and informed the police.The officers unlocked the door and found the woman inside the house.Majhiaon police station in-charge Omparkash Toppo said, “No complaint has been lodged by the CO’s wife.”Toppo also said that an investigation into the matter is underway.The CO said, “The women was a cook who prepared food for him. The allegation levelled against me by my wife is baseless. Someone has instigated her against me.”Garhwa superintendent of police (SP) Aman Kumar said, “The CO’s wife has not filed any FIR here saying she will do the same in Gaya which is her home town. She will be provided every possible help.”
