An alumni of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) IIIT, E. Sai Shivani, who secured the 11th rank in civil services examination, asked students to follow Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) toppers and prepare for civil services from their college days. A native of Warangal in Telangana, Ms. Sai Shivani pursued electronics and communication engineering (ECE) in RGUKT Ongole campus from 2016 to 2022.

Participating in the ‘Civil Services Inspiration Programme’ organised by the RGUKT Nuzvid IIIT in Eluru district on Sunday, Ms. Sai Shivani asked the students to work with dedication in order to achieve their goals. “Self preparation is more important than coaching. Reading books, use of social media platforms, observing the toppers in UPSC and the pattern they follow will help in cracking civil services examination,” Ms. Sai Shivani said.

RGUKT registrar and Nuzvid campus director Sandra Amarendra Kumar said that Sai Shivani was an inspiration to the budding engineers in the university and her achievement brought laurels to the institute. Later, Ms. Sai Shivani clarified the doubts raised by the students on achieving success in UPSC.

Administrative officer Lakshmana Rao, dean Chiranjeevi, chief warden Subba Lakshmi, faculty, staff and students participated in the programme.
