Class 6 student jumps off school building in Govindpura Bhopal sustains fractures

BHOPAL: A class 6 student at a girls’ school in Govindpura allegedly jumped from the first floor of the school building on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 7:30 am. The 12-year-old girl sustained fractures in her limbs and was rushed to hospital.

She was later discharged after treatment.Police said CCTV footage from the campus confirmed that the girl was seen jumping on her own. The school authorities informed that the student’s term exams were scheduled to begin on Saturday.Govindpura police said they were not immediately informed of the incident. Upon receiving information, a team reached the school and began inquiries. ACP Govindpura Aditi Bhawsar said the circumstances that led to the incident are being probed, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
