 Party prepares for BMC elections; eyes sweeping victory

MUMBAI: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis announced the appointment of Andheri West MLA Ameet Satam as BJP Mumbai unit president. The BJP currently has 15 MLAs in the city, which is the highest number for any political party in Mumbai. With the BMC elections slated for later this year, the party is preparing to sweep the elections.

In 2017, 82 of its candidates were elected to the BMC, the second highest in the city. Fadnavis said the party expects a great result under Satam’s leadership.
