Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy instructed the Irrigation department officials to prepare plans for bringing 80 tmcft water from Tummidihatti to Sundilla.

The officials concerned are directed to finalise estimates for repairs of Sundilla barrage, which suffered damages, as part of efforts to bring water to Sripada Yellampalli project. The Chief Minister gave the instructions during a meeting with senior officials to review the status of the projects.

He enquired with the officials about the status of Sundilla barrage and ordered officials to prepare plans to supply irrigation and drinking water to the erstwhile Adilabad district. Estimates for the project works should factor in those prepared in the past.

The Chief Minister reviewed the contents of the letter addressed to him by Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil recently and made suggestions, including preparation of analysis reports project wise.

Reviewing the condition of Medigadda, Sundilla and Annaram barrages, he directed the officials to come up with constructive plans for taking up repairs to the barrages by duly ensuring that the contract agencies were made responsible for them. Mr. Revanth Reddy said he would hold a meeting in November second week to review the steps being taken on the status of reports being prepared project wise.
