CM Nayab Saini inquires about Anil Vij’s health, who suffered fracture in foot

AMBALA: Haryana chief minister (CM) Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday visited the residence of state energy, transport and labour minister Anil Vij in Ambala Cantonment to inquire about his health and wished him a speedy recovery.On the occasion, Vij presented a shawl to CM Saini as a mark of respect. Earlier, upon the CM’s arrival at Vij’s residence, he was warmly welcomed by Vij’s brother Rajinder Vij, Kapil Vij, uncle retired wing commander SD Vij and other family members, as well as a large number of BJP workers.Anil Vij has been advised rest by doctors due to a fracture in his foot.Vij sustained the injury about a month ago. Despite the injury, he continued to actively oversee developmental work and participated in departmental meetings at the Chandigarh Secretariat and other locations. Even while enduring pain in his leg, he spent hours inspecting flood preparedness in Ambala Cantonment, issuing directives to district officials. Although he took medication as per medical advice, the increasing pain prompted an X-ray on Friday, which revealed a fracture in the toe, following which doctors advised him to rest for a few days.
