Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday virtually inaugurated buildings constructed for educational institutions under the Higher Education Department. The buildings in various locations across the state were constructed at a total cost of ₹51 crore.

From the Secretariat, Mr. Stalin also virtually inaugurated 19 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) established in Embal, Gingee, Gurukkalpatti, Kancheepuram, Kangeyam, Karimangalam, Krishnagiri, Manachanallur, Manapparai, Marakkanam, Perur, Salavakkam, Sembanarkoil, Thiruchengode, Thiru Uthirakosamangai, Thisayanvilai, Tiruparankundram, Tiruvallur and T. Palur.

In another event, the CM virtually inaugurated an air-conditioned film shooting site in Tamil Nadu Government M.G.R. Film and Television Institute in Chennai renovated at a cost of ₹5.10 crore. He also distributed appointment orders to candidates newly recruited by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Stalin visited the office from which Chief Minister’s helpline (1100) was operating and reviewed its functioning. About 13,000 calls were being received daily.

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Ministers S. Regupathy, M.P. Saminathan, S.S. Sivasankar, C.V. Ganesan and N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj; Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and senior officials participated.
