Bhagalpur: Chief minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to visit Sanhoula and Dhuabai villages under Sanhoula block in Kahalgaon sub-division of Bhagalpur district on Thursday to review development works undertaken by the different departments in Kahalgaon sub-division and Bhagalpur district.
The CM will also participate in a number of other programmes.District administration officials said the CM will take stock of progress on the instructions he had issued during the Aug 13 review meeting, where 16 development schemes worth Rs 163.60 crore were discussed. The schemes were launched during his Pragati Yatra in Bhagalpur on May 13 this year.Apart from reviewing the development works, Kumar will unveil a life-size statue of former assembly speaker and nine-time MLA from Kahalgaon, late Sadanand Singh, at Dhuabai village, Singh’s native place.
Several ministers will accompany the CM during his visit.The CM is also scheduled to address public meetings in Sanhoula or Dhuabai and interact with local people.In preparation for the CM’s visit, DM Nawal Kishor Choudhary inspected Sanhoula and Dhuabai villages on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Kahalgaon SDO, SDPO, and other senior officials from Bhagalpur and Kahalgaon sub-division, as well as Sanhoula block officials.Deputy development commissioner (DDC) Pradeep Kumar Singh and City SP Shubhank Mishra had also visited Sanhoula on Monday to review the arrangements for the CM’s programme.
