A week after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination-related lapses, the party has announced a series of peaceful protests across the country, including one in Hyderabad.

According to a schedule released on the party’s Instagram handle on Thursday (June 11, 2026), demonstrations will be held in seven cities between June 11 and June 20. The protest in Hyderabad would be held at Dharna Chowk from 10.00 a.m. on June 14.

Sharing the schedule, the party said, “CJP peaceful protests are happening nationwide. Join in when we come to your city.”

The Cockroach Janta Party was formed on May 16 by Abhijeet Dipke following remarks made a day earlier by the Chief Justice of India Surya Kant. During proceedings on May 15, 2026, CJI Kant had referred to some activists and unemployed youth as ‘cockroaches’ and ‘parasites of society’, remarks that triggered widespread criticism and outrage across the country.

The newly-formed party subsequently organised its first protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6, 2026, where it sought the resignation of Mr. Pradhan, alleging lapses in the conduct of examinations.
