College hostels needed for SC/ST students: R. Krishnaiah 

National BC Welfare Association leader R. Krishnaiah on Sunday wrote to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for setting up hostels for college-going SC/ST students in Greater Hyderabad limits. “There are about 25 college hostels within Hyderabad city limits in Rangareddy and Medchal districts and they are not sufficient. The students cannot afford private hostels or arrange rented accommodation, and many of them are turning back from education opportunities in the city,” he said. Mr. Krishnaiah in his letter, said that separate hostels for boys and girls – five each in Hyderabad, four each in Ranga Reddy and Medchal– must be set up.
