The Telangana Human Rights Commission on Monday directed Nalanda College of Pharmacy, Cherlapally-Hyderabad Road in Nalgonda, to immediately return the original certificates and issue Transfer Certificates to the 16 B. Pharmacy graduates.

The students completed the course during 2021-25, however, their certificates were withheld on the pretext of pending government scholarship reimbursements.

“Retention of original certificates without legal justification amounts to violation of constitutional and human rights under Article 21,” the Commission noted.

Recommending immediate interim relief, it summoned the Chairman/Director and Principal of the college for an inquiry on September 8. The Commission directed District Collector, Nalgonda, and the Telangana Council for Higher Education, for compliance.
