Committee to submit report in a week on ASHAs’ demands, government tells Kerala HC

The State government informed the Kerala High Court on Friday that the committee that was formed to study the demands of the Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) would submit its report to the government within a week.

The workers had sought among others, a hike in honorarium as well as better pay package. The government made the submission in response to a petition that had sought steps to constitute one such committee and to submit its report within three months.

A comprehensive report, after due changes, will be released after considering all the issues raised by ASHAs. The case has been posted for hearing on September 19.
