Construction waste facility to be set up in 10 acres in Rajamahendravaram

A Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste dumping yard cum processing facility has been proposed on a 10.52 acre site at Hukumpeta gram panchayat - Rajamahendravaram Rural Mandal in East Godavari district. 

The initiative in in line with the C&D Waste Management Rules, 2016, which mandates all civic bodies to establish dedicated facilities for the collecting, storage and processing of construction waste as management of the waste poses a challenge in the urban bodies. 

In an official release, East Godavari District Collector and In-charge Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation Commissioner P. Prasanthi, sought objections from the public regarding the proposed facility by the end of September.
