Cop suspended for ‘collecting’ money from trucker

Hazaribag: A police personnel posted in Hazaribag district was suspended on Saturday after a video allegedly showing him collecting money illegally from a truck while conducting patrolling in a PCR van went viral on social media.

Hzaribag SP Aman Kumar ordered proceedings against havildar Paitai Sirka. The SP also ordered disciplinary action against two other police personnel in connection with the incident. The video showed personnel deployed with the PCR vehicle allegedly taking money from a driver on Friday.
